Friends and Influences
Best Friends
    Mike Yang
As one of my closet friends and current room
mate, I'm very glad he's there
to overlook any potential hazards I might encounter. We go to lots of places
together and I consider him my best friend in San Diego. A caring, honest
person, Mike is gives guidence like no other. Greatful, he likes
to draw art and likes to chat with others on his computer. He's a general
biology major at UCSD and hopes one day to become a dentist just like many in his
family.
    Hao Zeng
A man of honor. One of my best high school friends.
Came only to the U.S. from China in 1994. In year's time,
he has nearly fully comprehended the English language and the American
way of life. I have always applauded his diligent work through high school
and into college. We were the best of friends back at old Milpitas High
School. The best of times. The worst of times. We were always there for each
other. A honest, revere, and
smart man, he has not just always forfilled his goals, but also went beyond
the call of duty to accomplish them to the extreme fullist. I admire you my man.
Hao is currently studying bioengineering and minoring in computer science at
the University of California, Berkeley.
    Chih-wei Ho
He's like no other. Literally. Nicknamed "Jack," Chih-wei and I were very
close buddies back in high school. We first met in a Zoology class in a
freshman summer class. Quite coincedental, we both loved biology, and often
engage each other with science, and psychology, including football and
political issues. I admire this man for his creative ideas and honesty.
We still keep in touch like no other that I know. Perhaps one day we will
rule the world together? Hmm...
Chih-wei is currently studying psychology at the University of California,
Irvine.
    Doreen Toy
Doreen is not your average friend. But perhaps a saint. A honest and caring person, she has the best html and web page programming skills I've seen! We
were good friends back at MHS, but our friendship strengthened by way of the
computer, of all things. If I needed to talk to someone, she will always be
there. And if I need some web site aids, she is always there too! I admire
her on those notions.
    Anna Zapata
A pen-pal like no other. We liked to write and sure our thoughts on things
via the old-fashion letter. I'm glad I met Anna, because it makes my
usually empty mailbox filled with happiness and excitment. Those letters
makes me very happy and gives me another reason why life is great.
Influences
Mrs. Wong, MHS Chinese Club Advisor
Not only an advisor, but Mrs. Wong is also my friend. She was my Chinese
Club advisor through all four years of my MHS tenure. I commend her for
showing me guidance of the glory and glamour of the Chinese history and
tradition.
Mrs. Conradson, English Teacher
She wasn't just a teacher, but a person who loved to help everyone at all
costs. She helped me with college essays, the college transition, and the
reason why english literature is great. I admire her love for the students
and their goal to succeed in whatever they so desire.
Mr. Gereb, Biology Teacher
Three classes with him. Biology, Zoology, and AP Biology. He convince me
that Biology was fun. But also gave me a reason not to fear college with
his semi-college level material. Great in instructing, he demonstarted the
care of his students.
Mr. Franklin, Math Teacher
First ever class I took at MHS was Mr. Franklin's Algebra class. But not
only did he teach math, but also provided fun and excitement in the classroom.
He loved to chat with his students, and embraced them with his mathematical
knowledge.
Family
Who can forget my family. They are always there for me no matter what. They
support me through education and they happiness that my soul carries on.
My family is my greatest influence in life, and no one will ever be close.
