Tom Hanks is surely one of a kind. But the plot is too dry and stupid.
The island scenes are excellent, but there must be a better ending than
Hanks' girlfriend going off and marrying some other fool. In fact, I
recommend adding some more scenes at the end. One that has Tom Hanks so
mad about the whole situation, he goes on a shooting rampage of his ex's
house. Then he cast away's again back to the secluded island to hang
himself on the leftover rope after being chased by the FBI and Coast Guard.
Come on, that's sure Oscar baby!!! (All criticisms can be sent to the my
